25 May I Got My Masters!!
Hey Guys!
For those of you who do not know! I graduated with my Masters Degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from Stetson University! This program has been such a challenge for me and I’ve met some friends I will keep forever. During the course of my studies, I had the pleasure of working with individuals who were struggling with their drug addiction at a residential facility in Orlando, Fl.
When working with my clients, I usually had a span of 90 days to establish sobriety, teach coping mechanisms and a bit of discovering the cause of their addiction. I helped my clients work towards trying to find a job suitable to their talents and giving them the tools and resources to maintain sobriety. Following that I worked at a facility where my main focus was helping families heal from traumatic experiences and working with couples to improve communication, build trust, and increase understanding between partners.
My goal now is to obtain my Associates Professional License and to create a model mentoring/counseling program until I have the time to work towards my license.
